Inspiration
When it comes to literary rabbits it would be inconceivable not to remember what is probably the most famous ever: Lewis Carrol’s White Rabbit, without which Alice would never have ended up in Wonderland and all her incredible adventures would have never happened!
Native Americans mythology is full of references to this animal. These peoples handed down numerous legends that told the rabbit’s superiority and cunning and of how it had become the symbol of the moon.
The ancient Egyptians depicted the Osiris with the head of a hare, in Greek mythology it was the animal sacred to Aphrodite, goddess of love, while for the Celts the rabbit was the sacred animal for the goddess of victory. Among the Mayans the legend says that the moon goddess was saved by a rabbit. Her salvation is the equivalent of the entire cycle of life.
